| Latest News here at Lenette: 11/16/08 We are very pleased to announce that we have bought the entire stock of poms from Hilcrest kennels here in NC. We certainly did not need any more poms but we were very much wanted 3 of her studs. This was the only way she would let them go. We have used these three fellows already on our broods this past summer and all 5 of the puppies we kept are waiting to mature so all of them can go into the show rings. We are quite confident that these new studs will be a real asset to our breeding program. In the lot we bought are 3 whites. We have the white stud at our handlers now and if we can get him to show properly he should finish his championship. We do not plan on breeding whites but will use them in our breeding program to produce what we believe will be quality creams. We plan on breeding the white bitches to our CH Prince who is from cream breeding has 3 BIS CH cream brothers. We even have the next generation planned and that will be to take the resulting cream daughters from Prince and breed them to our white boy Flash. Flash is actually turning a little cream at his old age of 2 years. Many people would call him white but he is technically a cream. Eleanor thinks that Ken has gone totally banana's in his old age. She is probably right but this is what makes life and breeding poms so interesting. 8/14/08 In July we bought the remaining stock from Ar-Bee's Kennels here in NC. We got several really nice broods but the main pom we are so excited about is CH Firebrook's Code Red Of Ar-Bees. Cody has on his fathers side the fabulous Travis that was such a good mover. On his dams side is the best moving GE stud that we remembered seeing, CH Great Elms Tim Topper. It is no wonder that Cody was such a tremendous mover himself. He was really something to see in the show ring. He has rarely been used as stud because his owner Rodger Beaty became so discouraged breeding poms. We are most anxious to get some pups on the ground. We have several bitches bred to him at the present. We think Cody will really help the movement of our Lenette poms, 2008 has not been a good year in raising many puppies and especially true concerning females. We will not have any new puppies available until about the latter part of November 2008. Those of you who have deposits , Thank You for your patience. With so many new champions recently added to our stud force we are confident that our future litters will not only vary in colors but also will be quality litters. We are just as excited now about our new up-coming litters as we were 50 years ago. |
